5 Amazing Vanilla Vegan Cake Recipes

http://veryveganrecipes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/vanilla-cake-1024x535.png

There are several reasons to know some good vegan cake recipes. Many individuals love cake but they often limit their eating for several reasons but mainly for health concerns. Most of the time, the people that I know limit their intake of this delectable sugary dessert for the fear that their blood glucose levels would rise. In short, they are afraid that their diabetes might get out of control. Another reason that I always hear from my friends is that they tend to cut off from their cake intake is due to diet. I agree that cakes do have high caloric count.

However, there are vegan cakes which make a healthier alternative. I wouldn’t go so far as to call vegan cakes health food, but they are certainly a healthier alternative to traditional cakes make with tons of sugar and animal fats.

I have put together a list of vegan cake recipes that range from easy to prepare, to more challenging. The one thing they all have in common is they taste amazing. And they are vegan of course. On the next page, you will find a variety of vanilla vegan cake recipes to choose from.

10 Reasons Why You Should Stop Eating Meat Right Now

http://veryveganrecipes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/reasons-to-stop-eating-meat-1024x535.png

In our evolutionary history, eating meat was not an integral part of our meals. It has always either been a necessity because of lack of fruits and vegetables or a luxury for the very rich.

For our ancestors, killing for meat was not a one-day affair but would take weeks or months for the hunt to commence. However, with the current technology, eating meat has been akin to breathing air. For most countries, freshly slaughtered animal flesh is easily accessible  while those stored or packaged meat are available in supermarkets. This kind of food preservation might be advanced but there is something that you should know about these kind of food: it is not only meat that is in it but other ingredients that will make you stop eating meat.

From the ethical issues of killing animals for food to the very real and serious health effects, there are some very compelling reasons to stop eating meat now! Share this article with everyone you care about who is still eating meat. And make sure you read it yourself. You will be surprised at some of the things on this list. Including number one on the next page.

10. CARBON MONOXIDE is an odorless, tasteless and colorless gas that can kill any human being. This is usually found in the exhaust pipes but when it is also present in the packing of ground beef and fishes such as tilapia and tuna. Carbon monoxide is placed into the plastic wrap so that the oxygen present will be sucked out. This is done to make sure that the meat will retain its relative freshness. What bothers most consumer groups is that there are meat samples that have organisms in them before the packaging. This is problematic to the buyers who can only see that the meat is still red and unassuming about this fact which is called mask meat spoilage.

The next on the list might be something that you are unaware of but is in fact a common practice.

9. Although salt is primarily used as a seasoning, there is a problem when it is plumped into the animal meat, specifically chicken meat. Another term for plumping is SALTWATER INJECTION. This poses a potential health risk because plumping adds greater sodium amount than what is recommended. If chicken meat has been plumped, the sodium count would be around 500 mg per serving in contrast to a chicken that has not been plumped which is 70 mg. A high sodium intake can be correlated to a greater chance of developing heart-related diseases.

8. Wherever we are, there is always a chance that a virus, bacteria or other microorganisms are present. At low numbers, they do not pose any risk. Despite the precautions that are given and done, sometimes these aren’t enough. For instance, in the food industry, there is a strict code of cleanliness and handling to make sure that the food is edible and will not cause problems which is not only applicable to . However, there are people who violate this. For instance, the handling of exotic or exported meat has been reported to contain retroviruses and herpes viruses. Although there is no exact cause for this, it can be attributed to mishandling while these meat were exported. Aside from that, there are also problems with sanitation most especially if these were illegally exported to foreign markets.

7. Recently, there has been news in the United States that the patties used for their burgers contain ammonia-treated beef or what has been called as pink slime. Ammonia is one of the main ingredients used in cleaning products and it is notorious for its stench. Although ammonia is a by-product of metabolism which is converted to urea, too much can lead to complications.

6. In recent years, it has been difficult to find organic meat because meat producers these days are reliant on the usage of medications to improve the quality of their product. It is also difficult to assuage the usage of amitotic by the farmers and ranchers because they do not publicize them. The problem here lies in the fact that consistent exposure to such drugs leads to the development of antibiotic resistant microorganisms. Due to this, many European countries and as well as Canada have banned meat animals that are being treated with antibiotics.

5. Recently, liquid smoke has become very popular because it gives an authentic smoke flavor to the food. However, what is not known by many is that it has polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) which are currently thought as carcinogenic. This means that liquid smoke can be a contributory factor to the development of cancer. A liquid smoke is prepared through passing wood smoke into a chamber and its vapor is captured and condensed.

4. BIODIESEL ADDITIVE is often listed as tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) in certain labels. This chemical compound is highly dangerous because in studies which were conducted, even a gram of it can be fatal to a human being. It can be found in bubble gums, nail polish, and other products that have preservatives in them. In an article, this substance is also present in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets recipe.

The next item might make you cringe and be reason enough to quit eating meat.

3. FLESH EATING BACTERIA has been the cause of necrotizing fasciitis wherein deep layers of skin and subcutaneous tissues necrotize. Since most meat produce are infused with antibiotics, it is inevitable that there will be strains that become immune to these drugs. An example is the MRSA or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). According to the Journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases, have of the grocery store meat are positive of staph bacteria and some of these could be MRSA strain. Currently, there are at least 19,000 individuals who die from MRSA, this figure is much greater than those who die from AIDS in the United States alone.

2. No one would expect that there are shrimps which are coated in cleaning chemicals. Depending on which country the shrimp came from, the further it is from your own, the greater the likelihood that it contains chemicals that are used in cleaning them. Aside from this, shrimps from overseas or imported sea food in general is not fully inspected which is why mouse and rat hair as well as pieces of insect may not be detected.

The last reason is an eye-opener.

1. Rather than describing this in detail, it is better that you see for yourself this documentary entitled Earthlings. It is an hour and a half long film that chronicles about society’s treatment on nonhuman animals. The entirety of the documentary film is available for free. Make sure that you watch it from start to finish.
